She is legit. Seems like her approach makes sense. I like this lady
With 5 key characters, a simple space, and a simple story, John Hughes captured forever, with complete perfection, what high school is really like for the average teenager in the United States.
All of the archetypes are here - the Jock, the Freak, the Rebel, the Pretty Girl, and the Nerdy kid. Even the clueless, burned out educator is represented. And the film throws a not so subtle hint that life after high school glory might not be so great (ahem, Mr. Janitor? The dialogue in this film is utterly and completely authentic. It's not what the kids are saying, so much as what they're feeling at the time. The mish-mash of emotions, feelings, and general mania that constitute high school life. All of it is perfectly captured by this film.
There are funny moments, sad moments, and everything in between. Just like high school. In the end, we're left with the hope that these people will grow to understand each other just a bit better, and maybe that we will too.
How perfect is this movie. so perfect that all these years later the current generation still sees themselves in these characters. I bet in 50 years this will not change.
10 out of 10 - a masterpiece.
I just fell in love with Brian in this orable. If he follows Lisa Ann, that would be a way bigger story. the freaks know why. lol #NailinPalin. Ive def caught a load or 30 to Sarah Jay 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️. “The men dont hold us down” yall young dummy ride or dies please listen.

“Im in a physics club- physics club.” That was so raw. Movies now would never do that. GREAT Interview. Aisha is my favorite, she got skills. Hollywood needs to do a ‘Set It Off 2.0 movie about these 4 Women. Lady with the blonde hair was a beast in them streets. Shouldve had guns at the ready if youre gonna be named Pop Smoke. i dont see this happening to YoungBoy or DaBaby. I feel like hes sober this interview. When i saw all that sugar i was like homegirl gonna die by 20 😭😭. Charlemagne STAY playin Soulja on the not so low... talkin bout “ I can definitely see you as an action star” 🤣🤣😂😂.
Crazy. I was just watching 50cent interview with Ebro last night. They were talking about him, so I watched 2 of his videos before bed and woke up to this. Life is crazy.
This reminds me of what the owner of said to me: who is African American) “Our ignorance is the main weapon formed against us; as it is constantly pointed at our heads and being discharged. In fact, its even more powerful than the discharge of a 357 magnum aimed point blank at your forehead.” Check him out hes the author of Glovers Music Business and Law Dictionary.
Spike Lee needs to make a movie out of their them together and make it even more 🔥.
Ill still eat the veal. Sorry lady. I went to school with Ayana Bean and she is highly intelligent. Great interview. Obeezy what is u doin😂😂😂. Why is Ray-J hat so damn big looks like he wearing a pants leg on his head lol. If there was ever a genre AND generation defining flick, this is the one! It was actually on cable TV 15 years after its release, that I finally saw this film. In many ways it has grown more powerful and gut-wrenching over the years, with the feuding between Judd Nelson's metalhead outsider and Emilio Estevez' all-American jock eerily precedes Columbine by over a decade. The movie's realistic handling of teen angst and clliquishness is as fresh today as it was in the '80s. And it takes on an almost claustrophobic feel over time, with most of the movie being filmed in one room. But the film has many glaring flaws. The Bowie quote at the intro defines pretentiousness and a seemingly tacked-on dance scene looks absurd. Ally Sheedy's character never really develops and feels more like a punchline, and Molly Ringwald - wonderful in her portrayal of awkward brainy outsiders - is miscast as a princess here. The school's guidance counselor's scheming as he digs through the files looking for dirt on his students also reaks of TV cop show villanry. Most movies that spawned sequels in the '80s were barely worth the trouble to begin with. Here was a case of a movie that left you hanging on the edge of your seat as it closed, and dreaming of a sequel that was never to be.
